Virginia Wedding Inspiration- Southern Glam

Styled shoots and real weddings are a creative way for photographers, stylists, and other wedding pros, to show off their talent and visions to inspire readers for their own wedding planning.

This week’s wedding inspiration is an actual real wedding that took place on the Middle Peninsula in which we were inspired by, here at Virginia Bride.

The details imbue a southern wedding with glamorous details in burgundy, blush and gold.

The southern manor home at Historic Leafwood set the tone for the bride’s choice in decor, with the help from wedding planner and stylist- Jackie Lawson of Over the Top Catering and Events.

All floral was also provided and designed by Over the Top Catering.

The couple, Hannah and James, had this to say about their wedding experience: “ A magical place, an absolutely perfect wedding experience! If you are looking for a venue to make your fairy tale dream wedding you’ve always wanted come to life, THIS IS IT.  There’s so much to work with to turn any area into exactly what you’ve always dreamed of.”

What we love: That arbor! Decorated with twinkle lights, complete with a chandelier!  It was such a focal point that the couple chose to stage the wedding cake underneath, as well as make their sparkler exit from there. What a great idea to make use of a beautiful ceremony area later during the reception.

The bride’s maid’s dresses made a statement and reflected the glam theme and what southern wedding would be complete without magnolias and  romantic candle light?
