Today’s Virginia Bride was actually born far from our little eastern state…Rachael hails from Ireland and let me tell you, her story is darn near close to a fairytale if I have ever heard one.
Hello again, I am Tilley and I couldn’t make this stuff up if I tried…she met her groom while they were both performers at BUSCH GARDENS! I don’t know if you can tell, but I love Busch Gardens. Rachel was the lead Irish dancer in the Irish Dance Show and Gary was an improve actor. They choose the Historic Jasmine Plantation in New Kent, VA because Virginia was where their love began.
With a bouquet of roses and carnations she went to meet Gary at the alter.
And of course, to the tune of a regal harp…
Look at his face! Ah, and his groomsmen patting him on the hand…too sweet.
That gown was truly worthy of a princess…
Then it was photo time! (Not to be confused with Hammer time.)
Lets start with the gentlemen shall we? I can’t decide if my favorite thing about Gary’s suit is his dark lapels or his spiderman tie clip and cuff links! Either way, his look is on point.
The groomsmen are looking great in the purple ties as well!
Rachael wore a tulle ballgown with a lace bodice and what a great choice it was, if I do say so myself.
Now the ladies, dressed in gorgeous one-shoulder purple gowns! The whole bridal party look like Barbies, am I right? So pretty!
Great group shot and I love the little flower girls in their coordinating cardigans.
Now for my favorite, the couples portraits…
They may not be from Virginia but by looking at them in the double rocking chair in front of the magnolia tree, they fit right in.
I told you, fairytale (all the heart eye emojis).
Even the reception was one for the storybooks because Spiderman made another appearance…
…AND Rachael, with her maids by her side, DANCED for their guests! BRB, dying.
I would have LOVED to be a fly on the wall at their wedding! In the words of the Irish, “May you both live as long as you want and never want as long as you live.”
