In the spirit of snowstorm Jonas (did anyone else hope that it was named after the Disney boy band?) I have chosen a for wedding to show y’all today that makes snow look glam and on Valentine’s day weekend, none the less! Who am I? I am Tilley, Virginia Bride’s detail obsessed wedding blogger!
Paola and Leo began dating after 3 years of friendship. Worth the wait, their wedding day was beautifully traditional. They were married in Saint Theresa Catholic Church in Ashburn, VA, and Paola looked amazing in this lace strapless number.
I know I haven’t featured many winter weddings (mostly because I am a sucker for summer and fall color palettes) but involving fur in any outfit, especially wedding attire, is my all time fav! Paola’s faux fur wrap was the perfect accessory for the chilly day.
After Leo shined his shoes, he was ready to meet his bride.
Escorted by the cutest little tuxedo clad stud, all eyes were on Paola.
Radiant doesn’t even begin to describe her!
Surrounded by family and friends, they became husband and wife. PS, how cute are their flower girls?!
Leo’s tux was quite sharp, if I do say so myself! Marriage looks great on them 😉
The reception also took place in Ashburn, at the 1715 Golf Club. I love that each place setting has a note from the new couple as well as a cute picture frame as a take home favor!
They also have a candy bar (YUM) with an iPad so guests could view photos of the wedding! I am all about utilizing technology and this is a great idea!
During their first dance, something abnormal happened…SNOW!
They rushed outside to capture the moment and I can’t imagine anything more perfect. I seriously get goosebumps looking at these photos. Amazing.
Congrats to the new Mr. and Mrs.!
From the Bride:
Favorite detail from the day: “My favorite detail was that it was snowing during our first dance so it felt like we were inside a snow globe. I thought that was really romantic.”
