Y’all know a day that starts out with a giggling bridal party and wine tervis tumblers was bound to catch MY eye! Welcome to your weekly dose of VA wedded bliss! I am your host (or blogger), Tilley!
The beauty in the middle there is Morgan and she married Nick just a few weeks ago in her dad’s back yard.
The scene was adorable, and Morgan says that despite the weatherman’s predictions, the rain held back for the most perfect day.
Morgan’s maids all wore high neck maxi gowns in different hues to go with her beachy vision. Morgan’s gown was strapless and made from intricate lace. Just look towards the edge of the dress…swoon.
The couple decided to do a first look to spend more time by themselves. I can only imagine Nick’s anticipation in this photo! I wonder if he peeked 😉 .
I am always on team “first look” for this exact reason…gorgeous photos!
The ceremony was full of laughter and love.
And then they were man and wife!
They shared their first dance…
…ate cake…
…then played beer pong and danced the night away!
Sounds like a night to remember to me! Congrats Morgan and Nick!
From the Bride:
What was your favorite detail from the day? “All the dancing and beer pong and cornhole, it just turned out like one big party, just like we wanted it to!! Just a relaxed laid back feeling, we had so much fun 🙂 Oh and I loved that we did a sand ceremony!! Ultimately I loved every detail!”
What advice would you give to a bride to be? “The best advice that I continued to get from my family was all I needed to be reminded of to remain calm. They said the only thing that matters is that you, Nick, and the officiant are there. Rain or shine wouldn’t matter, too many or too few came, oh well! It was our day and our vows and the rest would follow 🙂 It was so true! When the day came all I wanted was to walk away from the day married to my best friend.”
