Cityscapes and smiles are abundant in today’s real wedding feature! From the bride’s timeless beauty to the groom’s adorable dimples, you can truly see the love between this couple and I, Tilley (your wedding obsessed blogger), am excited to share it with you!
Meghan married David at the Le Meridien in Arlington this October. Its a great venue because it has so many places within that can be utilized for the many parts of a wedding day. Meghan, shown here in the bridal suite in her #adorbs “bride” t-shirt, is absolutely glowing! I mean…I feel like she could have easily replaced Blake Lively in the Age of Adaline movie…timeless.
Donning sapphire earrings as her something blue, she prepared for their first look.
David patiently awaited his bride in the courtyard wearing a dark suit with navy tie. I like the texture of the paisley…nice choice.
And then her face! Have you ever seen a more excited couple?!
Then she twirls to show him the whole look…a lace gown with sheer sleeves, you go Meghan ;).
Look at that backdrop! The contrast of the city with the beautiful foliage is magical. And the sunflowers are not only a great fit for the season but also perfect their sunny personalities!
Ahhh the veil…the hair…heavenly.
Meghan trusted her maids to choose their own dress and they topped off their looks with matching pashmina scarves. What a great idea! The contrast of colors turned out beautifully!
What a great group shot!
When it came time for the ceremony, the roof made the perfect setting. I love the simplicity of the alter of columns with the white carpet leading the way there.
Walking down the isle fighting back tears of joy is such real life. Meghan is feelin’ it BUT still looks gorgeous.
From the Bride:
Favorite detail of the day? “My favorite detail of the day (other than marrying my very best friend) was getting to see how my bridesmaids looks came together. I had told them all to get a short, navy dress with no other details and they ended up matching beautifully in 4 completely different dresses! It was just as fun to see my close friends looking gorgeous as it was to get pretty myself.”
Advice for a bride to be? “I would tell any bride to just breathe and stay calm on the day of. You spend a lot of time thinking about a ton of little details, but at the end of the day, I don’t even think I saw our centerpieces or favors. Allow yourself to just caught up in how fun and amazing it all is.”
