Real Wedding Wednesday: Meghan & Bruce

Happy New Year my wedding loving friends! I, Tilley, am so excited to bring y’all tons of gorgeous weddings in 2016!

Something about a new year had me hunting for the perfect simplistic wedding to start the year fresh and boy did I hit the jackpot. Meghan and Bruce were married in the Shenandoah Valley at the Rosemont Manor. This place is over 200 years old and breathtaking! The indoor and outdoor options offered the perfect background for their nuptials.

Meghan stunned in this amazing backless dress and full length veil. I am personally not always a huge fan of veils but hers adds so much elegance and drama to her look…so glam.

She met her groom at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains and what an amazing backdrop it was!

Proof that simple can be beautiful…all you really need for a gorgeous wedding is a great venue, great wardrobe and epic flowers!

Speaking of epic flowers. Good gracious. The color pallet she choose is giving me all the feelings too…I mean those bouquets!!! It all feels so fresh and elegant.

And Meghan’s bouquet?! I can’t EVEN! The succulents AND the lambs ear AND the eucalyptus with what I think is a bourbon rose…its enough to make me rethink my own wedding bouquet which PS, I adored!

The couples photos, always my fav, continue the simple yet stunning trend. Bruce looks like such a sweetie cheek to cheek with Meghan. I like his dark grey suit and is that a black tie? If so, thumbs up from me.

The lighting here is almost illuminating their joy…Good job Ashley (photographer).

Can’t have a wedding Wednesday without a cutesy group shot. My eye is immediately taken to Meghan and that veil though! Love it!

BUT losing the veil is totally cool too because OMG the back of this dress! #goals.

For the reception, the dark chiavari chairs against the crisp white linens make the reception look oh so chic.

To avoid overpowering the beauty of the room some tables were topped with a sweet candle and eucalyptus while others had some of these gorgeous bouquets.

I feel like these flowers are so beautiful that just looking at them could take anyones day from bad to good!

To top it all off, a cupcake tower. I am hungry just looking at it.

Congrats to the new Mr. and Mrs.! I am so thankful for your love and fresh wedding to begin 2016!

From the Bride:

What was your favorite detail from the day? ” That’s a hard one! There were so many! I think my favorite was when our eyes met for the first time when I was walking down the aisle, it was such an amazing feeling and an emotion that I had never felt before.”

What advice would you give to a bride to be? “That some of the things that seem important really aren’t. Looking back there were so many things that I stressed about that really didn’t matter or I didn’t pay attention to the day of the wedding. You can’t please everyone, so don’t try to. It is you and your husband’s special day. Not everyone will agree or like the same things you do, but don’t let it worry you. My advice would be DON’T stress the small stuff because your day goes by so quickly , just remember why you’re getting married in the first place!”

If you got married last year and think your wedding can inspire others, send it our way with “Wedding Wednesday Blog” in the subject line! I would love to see it and possibly share it on this blog!
