Happy #WeddingWednesday friends! Today, I, Tilley, am excited to show you a sweet wedding that took place last August at the Founders Inn in Virginia Beach, VA.
A bride after my own heart, Mary Jo created the perfect glitter-filled day. From her shoes to the decor, everything sparkled.
The biggest sparkle of all was her smile. She shined in this beautiful princess ball gown with a flower detailed bodice.
Mary Jo and Matt decided to see each other for the first time at the ceremony, so while the ladies got ready, the groom and his men played pool. Ladies, it is always a good idea to keep the guys busy. You don’t want them getting into any trouble 😉 .
With everyone in their seats, the ceremony began. The bridesmaids were followed by the CUTEST flower girl dressed in tulle…
…and not far behind her was the most adorable ring bearer! I can’t even! That hair (all the heart eye emojis)!
Mary Jo said the morning was filled with rain, but by the looks of this radiant glow, the sun came out just in time!
In front of their families and friends, they became man and wife!
I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love their enthusiasm! Mary Jo and Matt, be my friends!
They truly make a gorgeous couple and I have serious dress envy over her gown!
Mary Jo’s maids looked beautiful in pink, carrying bouquets of roses and hydrangeas.
Matt and his men looked dashing in khaki suits complete, of course, with funky argyle and striped socks.
Perhaps the most important part of the wedding party, their dogs, also wore pink! Have you ever seen such photogenic pups?!
The reception continued into the night where the couple showed off some adorable details like this koozie! Grandma is clearly appreciative of the sleeve to hold her Michelob Ultra. Lol.
No wedding is complete these days without a hashtag and this one is so creative! The latest trend to set you apart is having your own snapchat geofilter! It is pretty inexpensive and adds such a fun touch to the day! Here is the link if you are planning a wedding. You’re welcome 😉 .
The cake, perched atop a sequin table cloth, was the sweet detail to top off the night! Congrats to the new Mr. and Mrs.!
From the Bride:
What was your favorite detail of the day? “MY DRESS! I got it from silk bridal and it is a Tara Keely design. Growing up I always wanted a big princess dress and it was that. When I went looking I thought I had changed my mind and wanted a mermaid so I tried on 3 dresses. I then saw this dress and after putting it on I knew immediately it was the one. I can’t wait to put it back on while eating cake on our first anniversary! Matt’s favorite detail was the beer. We used Back Bay Brewery for beer choices.”
What advice would you give to a bride to be? “Do not stress, your day will be perfect for you. I honestly never stressed planning my wedding or the day of. Everyone told me that I was the most happy / relaxed bride they had ever seen. I really think that helped make our day perfect. Also, practice your spray tan. I almost had a big uh-oh the day before.”
