“We loved with a love that was more than love.” – Edgar Allen Poe
What a perfect quote to set the stage for todays wedding that actually took place at the Edgar Allan Poe Museum in Richmond! I, Tilley, have always loved Poe and after seeing this wedding I knew I had to share it with y’all.
Unfortunately I was unable to speak with Lana (like I usually do with all the brides I feature) so I do not know how she and Josh met, but I can say that she has great style. Her tulle netted strapless gown was quite the stunner.
Look at the texture on the bodice! I love it.
The bridal party looked classic with the ladies in simple yellow dresses and the men adorned suits and skinny ties.
Josh differentiated himself with a bright red tie. Loving the suspenders boys!
The couple stuck to tradition and did not do a first look. With a door in between, they professed their love and nerves before the big moment.
With a little help from a bridesmaid, the sweetest little flower girl threw petals out of an adorably painted bucket before Lana began her walk down the aisle. The bucket was such a cute idea for this whimsical wedding!
Lana carried a bouquet of yellow and red flowers set off by one of my favorite pieces of greenery – Lambs Ear. #obsessed.
And how stinkin’ cute is her polka dotted veil?!
The Poe Museum really made such a beautiful backdrop to their sunny day nuptials.
What a smashing first kiss! *said in a British accent*
I always wonder if couples practice the first kiss? I think it’s a great idea if you want it to look as awesome as this!
More flowers were thrown as they exited the ceremony to take a few photos before the reception.
This is such a fun wedding party pic! It feels different and oh so fresh!
Lana’s smile is so sweet. You can really see the love in this couples eyes.
Love, love, LOVE this shot! Richmond is a city full of colorful walls and I am so glad they explored a little before the party!
You can tell they are a fun loving couple. The bubbles were an awesome idea!
The cake toper they choose was equally as quirky and fun, and I can’t even handle how delicious that butter cream looks. Nom.
Surrounded by more bubbles, friends and family, they danced the day away!
Congratulations Lana and Josh on a fabulous wedding day!
