Virginia is one of the few places in the country that you can see the ocean and the mountains all in one state. No matter where you go (or decide to have your wedding), it is fulllllll of beauty! If you have been following this weekly wedding series, then you have seen Alicia and Martin’s Alexandria wedding and Meghan and Bruce’s Shenandoah Valley and many, many others that took place in Virginia. As a Virginia native, I, Tilley, am so proud to show you each of these nuptials, but today, I am breaking the rules to bring you a DESTINATION WEDDING!
Joanne and Robert’s wedding was that of a fairy tale and took place in Australia. When I saw her one of a kind gown by French designer J’Aton, I knew I HAD to share it with y’all!
It fit Joanne like a glove. With her hair up and veil pinned into place, it was time to go see her groom.
After a short car ride with her father, they had reached the church. It was time.
In this beautiful (and colorful) cathedral, they pledged their lives to one another.
Robert (rightfully so) never took his eyes off of his bride!
People. This is gorgable! Yes, I just combined the word adorable and gorgeous.
Joanne’s maids (and junior maid, seen on the left) all helped her to the most beautifully lit field in Australia for their couple’s portraits. They each wore midnight blue strapless gowns with their hair pulled loosely back.
I told y’all the lighting was amazing. Could this be anymore like a fairytale?! Jeez.
I don’t have any pics of the groomsmen to show you, but who needs them with a stunner like Robert holding it down (insert fire emoji).
Put the two of them together and holy wow.
Seriously. Is this a dream?
The reception took place in one of Sydney’s most exclusive venues, the Doltone House at Jones Bay Wharf and every detail was perfect. I particularly love the oval shaped tables. You don’t see too many of those here in the states (but chiavari chairs seem to be pretty universal, lol).
Even their simple tiered cake was a stunning master piece.
At the party, Joanne let her hair down, slipped off her sleeves (amazing feature of the dress), and danced the night away with Robert.
