I am really into invitations lately and these set the stage beautifully for today’s real wedding that took place the Signature at West Neck in Virginia Beach.
The star of the show is the girl in this amazing lace strapless gown, Jennifer. Isn’t she stunning?
This gentleman on the left is her groom, Chris. Pictured without his outfit details because they were being used to take this adorable pic.
The bride’s details are always documented but I love that they have the grooms as well. Too cute.
The couple chose to stick with tradition by not seeing each other before the ceremony. They did however, do a no look-first look where they held hands around a door way so they couldn’t see each other. Jennifer said that connection made the anticipation of seeing each other at the alter even more exciting.
The ceremony took place outside. Jennifer’s vision was brought to life with flowers, greenery, and a wood cross handmade by her uncle.
She glided down the aisle with her father by her side. Her smile is absolutely radiant!
Once they reached the end, her father gave her away to Chris and took his special designated seat. Such a cute idea.
The said their vows and were then man and wife! Side note: Jennifer, love your hair and veil.
Then it was time for my personal favorite part of the day…couples portraits! Fun fact about Jennifer’s veil: it was also her mothers! How sweet?!
You know how some couples just look at each other and give you goosebumps? Yep, that’s what I am experiencing here. It is also extra adorable because they have been together since high school!
All the feels y’all.
The covered reception was full of florals and greenery.
Each place setting also had a delicious chocolate to greet each guest. Nom.
Speaking of delicious, look at this cake! I love everything about it! The ribboned frosting, the personalized Mr. and Mrs. topper, and that cake stand! Swoon.
They partied the night away and even had a special guest on the dance floor 😉 .
Chris and Jennifer, I wish you the very best! Congrats on your marriage!
From the Bride:
What was your favorite detail from the day? “My favorite detail was my veil that was repurposed from my mom’s wedding veil.”
What advice would you give to a bride-to-be? “My advice to brides-to-be is to take advantage of friends and family who offer to help you plan. I am type A and wanted to do everything myself but especially being an out of town bride, I had to learn this. My parents and Chris’ parents were awesome!”
