Real Wedding Wednesday: Hannah and Alex

Today’s stunning wedding took place at the Veritas Vineyard and Winery in Charlottesville, VA this past July!

Hannah looked stunning in her lace v-neck gown. She met her groom, Alex, during undergrad on a road trip to Houston, TX to see the VCU Men’s Basketball play in the Final Four. A group of her sorority sisters and group of his fraternity brothers were in a caravan together. Once they got back to Richmond, they kept bumping into each other and eventually, he asked her on a date and the rest was history!

Their ceremony took place outdoors and began with the cutest ring bearer and flower girl!

With her father by her side, Hannah went to meet Alex at the altar!

I love how he is leaning here to catch the first glimpse of his bride!

After they said their vows, they kissed and were pronounced man and wife!

Ahhh the wedded bliss ☺️

The Vineyard set the most perfect backdrop and I am in awe of Hannah’s veil!

And her bridesmaids did a wonderful job coordinating their dresses!

The decor for the indoors reception was minimal with touches of greenery and gold to highlight the beauty of the vineyard and the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Their first dance was just the beginning of a memorable evening filled with dancing!

When the night came to an end, they left in a sea of sparklers with smiles from ear to ear! Congratulations Hannah and Alex!

From the Bride:

What was your favorite detail of the day? “My favorite detail of the day was our ceremony music. My father composed the music and was played by The Bloom Trio. However, all the details came together perfectly which made all the long distance planning worth it!”

What advice would you give to a bride to be? “My advice would be to follow your gut when it comes to planning. Make decisions and don’t look back or continue to look for ideas. There are so many different wedding websites, forums, social media influences, and family and friend opinions that can make the planning process overwhelming! You know yourself and what you can afford. Don’t compare your weddings to others even though it’s hard not to!”
