Hello ladies, Tilley here bringing you this weeks real VA wedding. I am so excited about this one because the Bride and Groom met on Tinder! I think there is no shame in using a dating app and this wedding is proof that when used intentionally, love can grow!
Ryan and Cortney were married at the Black Horse Inn in Warrington, VA this past September.
A bride after my own heart, Cortney got ready with Champagne and…
…Starbucks. You really can have it all (insert praise hands emoji).
Her maids all wore purple long gowns with their hair up. I love the different silhouettes each girl chose.
Cortney wore a gorgeous gown with lace overlay and took a few pics with the locals before heading down the isle. She and Ryan did not do a first look because it was important to him to see her for the first time down the aisle. Although I do love a first look, I think the groom having a touch in the planning is great so I really respect him for speaking up.
Ryan wore a gray suit with matching textured bow tie and vest. Nice pocket square.
His groomsmen wore the same suite but with purple ties and grey vests, great idea to differentiate!
The stage for the ceremony was set with my favorite gold chavari chairs with adorable mason jars filled with flowers.
All of the stationary in this wedding is to die for! How cute are these programs!? Turns out they were designed by one of Cortney’s friends from college!
After a first look with her father, down the aisle she went!
Ryan got his wish and don’t they look great, now man and wife!
I really love this picture of the newly weds…its such a big (and sometimes stressful) day but you can see they really click and know how to be themselves around each other.
And this one is just breathtaking! Now time for the party…
As mentioned previously, the stationary was the bomb and they even tied it in during the reception! I love this hilarious open bar sign by another one of Cortney’s friends! She sure surrounds herself with the right people 😉
And then the menu’s with the “Thank You” cards?! This wedding takes the cake for the most thoughtful details.
And speaking of cake…BAM! Look at the gorgeous tower of deliciousness!
Of all the details, I was especially impressed with with the hashtag on the mantle! What a pretty idea! Congrats to the new Mr. and Mrs.!
From the bride:
What was your favorite detail of the day? “My favorite detail of the day (aside from marrying the man of my dreams) was being surround by all the people we love in one room at the same time. I am originally from New Mexico, my family lives in Colorado and my husband’s family is in Virginia. There are not many occasions in your life where people will travel from across the country to celebrate a special day with you. It was also wonderful to have all of these people meet each other.”
