I cannot begin to tell you how thankful I am that the groundhog didn’t see his shadow yesterday! Spring is on its way so today, I figured I would show you all a colorful wedding! As if we needed an excuse to daydream about the warmth thats on its way. As your wedding obsessed blogger, Tilley, warm weather is everything to me.
Like many couples, Cara and Jacob met in college. Their love blossomed and they were married at the beautiful Keswick Vineyards this past summer. Cara loved the venue because it had a man cave and bridal suite for each of the groups to get ready in (plus the gorgeous ceremony location).
Cara wore an a-line tulle gown complete with a sweetheart neckline and an oh-so-glam beaded belt. I love how she chose this pear shaped blue topaz ring as her something blue…
She is truly a glowing beauty and look at her shoes! Perfection!
Being a traditional couple, Cara and Jacob choose not to do a first look so after seeing her father, it was time for Cara to head down the aisle!
The outdoor ceremony took place on the lush lawn and she choose simple white fold chairs with hanging jars of flowers to set the stage. I love how it looks like a southern plantation…
I also love this sign! Having ushers can actually be annoying in my opinion, so having everyone seat themselves really alleviates a lot of complications (trust me ha).
After Jacob kissed his bride it was time for my favorite part…PICTURES!
Cara’s maids wore blue gowns in different shapes and all looked amazing!
Their looks are complimented by matching earrings and blooms full of color! The shape of the bouquets (with the high pink flowers) make them so unique in my book.
The groomsmen wore grey suits with brown accessories (my fav) but I absolutely LOVE that Jacob wore a completely different suit!
Good job Jacob. Very fresh.
Now, the couple shots…be still my heart.
So so SOOOO sweet!
The blue theme was carried on to the reception with the napkins and flowers.
Each table was completed with these adorable little phials of olive oil! What a cute idea!
The mini cupcake tower is adorable but not as cute as the new Mr. and Mrs.
Congrats to the lovebirds!
From the Bride:
Favorite detail of the day: “Besides getting married to my best friend…my favorite detail had to be when my dad first saw me. I’ll never forget the expression on his face. He’s one of the most important people in my life and it was really special to share a few minutes with just him and I before we walked down the aisle.”
Advice for a Bride to be: “Enjoy the day and not worry about the small stuff, or the weather, thing’s you can’t control. All the details will come together the day of and even if they don’t, your guests would never know.”
