Weddings come with lots of gifts, but if you ask Caroline which was her favorite when she married Edwin, she would tell you that it was a card. This special card came from one of her guests who wrote the exact time during their ceremony that the priest blessed the wedding. This just goes to show how much Caroline loves details, and her wedding in September 2017 certainly shows that!
After Edwin proposed to Caroline on a thoughtfully orchestrated overnight stay in Sonoma she began planning their big day!The invitations were first on her list! She carefully thought through all the details from ribbon, to paper type, to font! They turned out to be a perfect introduction to their elegant day.
Caroline may have forgotten to move her bridal suite breakfast delivery up to 7:00am from 5:00am (talk about an early wake up call!), but everything else was planned perfectly! She got ready with her maids and after stepping into her A-line taffeta gown, they hopped on the trolley and headed to Richmond’s Cathedral of the Sacred Heart were Edwin and his groomsmen awaited.
During the mass, the couple shared readings that they felt were applicable to their relationship and eventually kissed to seal the deal!
They jumped back in the trolley for champagne toasts and headed off to take photos.
The reception took place at the Jefferson hotel where no detail went untouched! From the show-stopping entrance flowers, to the custom lighting, to a three-table long cookie display. They thought of it all! Their five-tier cake with blue velvet and champagne flavors was especially jaw dropping!
When it came time for their unique exit, they left under fun, multi-colored glow sticks that were personalized for the day and it was off to Santorini and Greece for Caroline and Edwin!
