Do you all remember how in the Once Upon A Time ceremony & reception post, I mentioned that I hadn’t caught up in the show yet? Well, just for you ladies, I binge-watched the show this week. I’m all caught up now!
Can I just say that the new storyline with the characters from Frozen is absolutely hilarious? Not to give spoilers, but when Emma Swan asks Elsa if she’s cold in all the ice and Elsa answers, “it’s never bothered me,” I laughed hysterically. (P.S. for non-diehard fans, “Let It Go” has a line that says “The cold never bothered me anyway.”) The new plot has so many tiny references to the Disney movie and I loved every single minute of it!
And now, I’m very excited to bring you the style for a Once Upon A Time bridal party!
This dress is one of my favorites. Not only is it from Alfred Angelo’s Disney Maiden line (which I promise was not on purpose!), I feel like it takes elements from multiple fairy tales. It almost has a mermaid hemline for Ariel, and the tulle and poof for Snow White and Cinderella. I also like the use of the color purple, which represents magic in the show. The cut would be flattering for a lot of women! The bow is adorable too, kind of like something Mary Margaret from the show would wear! Alfred Angelo has many locations around the state as well, so it would be easy for you Virginia brides to check out his designs!
This round, I wanted to try something different. I’ve never added a flower girl dress before, but she is part of the bridal party after all! This was also an Alfred Angelo dress, from hisDisney Blossoms line. (I’m sorry, but the opportunity was there and I took it!). As referenced by the apple in the young girl’s hand, this dress is based off of Snow White, which makes it perfect for this wedding style! Snow White is the primary princess featured in the hit ABC show, so showcasing her in the wedding theme is almost a given. What I love about this flower girl’s dress is that it matches with the bridesmaids’ dresses perfectly since they both have a tulle skirt. You can even have your flower girl carry some apples! (Fall wedding anybody?)
This bouquet was on a blog called Ruffled. I really wanted a forest-inspired bouquet for this wedding to play off of the setting of the Enchanted Forest in the show. This bouquet was absolutely perfect. I love the simple blooms and the way it brings in the nature aspect, which will also match the venue we talked about in the ceremony & reception post! It looks like something Prince Charming could have picked out of the woods for his true love, Snow White. It was basically exactly what I was looking for, and I am so happy I found it!
This charm bracelet was something I came across on Pinterest while I was looking for things for last week’s post, and I love the idea of using it as your bridesmaids’ gifts! It’ll look adorable with their dresses and I’m sure they’ll appreciate something they could wear long after the wedding bells stop ringing for the day. I found this on Ebay. My favorite part is the little car charm; it’s perfect!
And finally, the shoes. I had a lot of trouble finding good shoes for this. At first, I wanted to use boots or something because that’s what Emma wears on the show a lot, but they just wouldn’t look great with the dress. So I picked these because they remind me of all of the fantastic outfits that the Evil Queen wears! Plus they’ll look adorable with the dress and fit the theme in such a great way. These shoes are from DSW.
I can’t wait to be back next week for the bridal look for this amazing show! What did you all think so far? Also, who is watching the new season with me? Please leave a comment, like the page at the bottom and talk to your magic mirror (or not).
