Who has gone to see the new Jurassic World movie? I’m now obsessed with Chris Pratt as a velociraptor trainer! How much more awesome can you possibly get?

In honor of the last installment to the Jurassic Park series, I’m going to propose you base a wedding off of the award-winning franchise! Now, I know what you’re thinking. And I promise, it won’t be like a 7-year-old’s birthday party. The colors of this wedding will focus on amber and a dusty green.

Adding vines to your decor will definitely give that Isla Sorna feel in a non-cheesy way! This was featured on Green Wedding Shoes, and the entire wedding featured was fabulous. I definitely encourage everyone to go look at the full gallery (actually, many of those elements would happen to fit in this theme!), but this part was my favorite. This seemingly simple decoration will definitely make your guests feel like they are visiting the island themselves, only without the Indominous, T-Rex or angry velociraptors. We hope.

I love the idea of incorporating amber bottles, and this is a beautiful way to do it! I love this entire setup and how rustic and yet elegant it is. You can use something like this on all of your tables and place blooms similar to those in your bouquet in these gorgeous bottles! This photo is from People, and original photographer is Meg Ruth. Also consider collecting various amber plates, glasses, etc. for all of the place settings! I’m sure thrift shops can help you out there!

I LOVE these amber glitter-rimmed glasses! If you have a signature cocktail, you should definitely put them in these. Found on WeddingOMania, this will show your guests that you can handle a fun theme without the cheese factor! For an amber-theme drink, trying something with Butterscotch Schnapps!

Bring things back to nature a little bit with a cake as gorgeous as this! The Costa Rica islands featured in the films are beautiful, if you don’t count the large pest problem. I love the simplicity in this cake and how it will blend in with the vines in the decor! I found this on Project Wedding.

Oh, and one more thing. Please hide a velociraptor in your save-the-dates! Does anyone else think this raptor looks hungry or angry? Did the couple steal his eggs? We learned in the third movie that stealing a velociraptor’s eggs is never a good plan (or is it? I can’t decide). The photography here is gorgeous, but the Photoshop add-in is one of my favorite things in the world. See this on Dreamy Wedding Ideas.

If you haven’t seen the new movie, GO SEE IT! Then comment below with what you think and we can discuss whether you really think that girl could outrun a T-Rex in heels and how Chris Pratt is everyone’s new favorite animal trainer. Like below so I know you’ve been here and tell us your own thoughts!
