Let it go, let it go, can’t hold it back anymore!
If you loved the “Frozen”-themed bridal and bridal party styles, you’ll love these tips on styling your reception and ceremony after the award-winning Disney spectacular!
I have a few tips for this theme for you Virginian brides. First of all, the venue. Since this theme lends itself to a wedding in the winter, you’ll be looking for an indoor venue. I’ve searched around for venues that have great banquet halls as well as leniency for allowing you to decorate.
My suggestion is the Richmond Marriot. Here’s a photo of their banquet hall with one wedding’s decorations:
While these wedding decorations obviously don’t fit a “Frozen” theme, look at all the drapery the Richmond Marriot has allowed! (I’ll show you examples later). Also, their largest ballroom can accommodate up to 1,100 guests, so you won’t have to worry about cutting your guest list for this venue. They also have an on-site caterer!
As for decorating your venue, I love this idea:

What I love most about this is that you can use white tulle, which is a very cheap fabric, and buy white Christmas lights (bonus: they’ll be on sale after Christmas so you can stock up the year before) and save a lot of money on decorations this way. This is great for you DIYers and brides on a budget! And it’s gorgeous for this sort of theme.
For decorations on your tables, here’s something I personally love:
They can be found on a wedding favor website where you can buy in bulk! You can buy cheap white candles at any dollar store (I’m always in favor of trying to fight ways to cut your budget!) They would be a beautiful addition to your tables at your wedding!
As for the cake, this cake from Emma Jayne Cake Designs is so amazing!
Now, unfortunately, Emma works out of Wales. However, I’d like to suggest Incredible Edibles Bakery in Virginia Beach to do a similar cake, because they do a lot of work with fondant based on their pictures, and have experience in intricate designs on their cakes!
Frozen lends itself to a beautiful wintery wedding, and I hope you’ll take some of this inspiration and make it your own! Next week, we start a new movie! Any suggestions? Keep reading our blogs and I’ll see you next week!
