Fashion Friday- Eugenia Couture

Happy Fashion Friday, today we feature the 2017 bridal collection of Eugenia Couture.

Can bridal gown design be in your DNA? Before she was Barbara Kavchok, she was Barbara Vasiliadis, Eugenia’s daughter. Barbara never expected to enter the family business. Having studied fine art and design at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, she expected to be pursuing a career in illustration and painting, but after helping out at Eugenia Couture, Barbara found that bridal design fulfilled her need for both the creative and the hands-on.

Joining Eugenia Couture full-time in 2004, Barbara has brought a unique and modern twist to the classic Eugenia style. With classical training in both drawing and painting, she has contributed a number of fine-art techniques to the design process, including the addition of hand-painted gowns. Inspired by beautiful textiles, great works of art, and history’s classic beauties, Barbara seeks to recreate perfection with every new design.

In keeping with the Eugenia way, Barbara always creates with the bride in mind. She says, “Eugenia gowns have the perfect balance of texture, form, and proportion. It’s very difficult to classify our gowns as having one particular look or style. We love so many different looks, and as a result, there is a style for every bride in our collections.”

Taking the Lead Designer reins from her mother in 2012, Barbara says, “I feel a great responsibility to the brand, to the brides, and to the boutiques.” Throughout the seasons, you can expect to find Barbara in choice salons assisting brides in creating their custom dream dress; from sketching the creation to choosing fine fabrics and finishes, and striving, like her mother, to make each and every gown a masterful work of art.

We love the Bohemian feel of these gorgeous wedding gowns!
