Fall 2014 Beauty

As summer soon comes to an end, make-up colors will shift with the changing colors of the leaves. This fall, beauty trends will create a “gentlewoman” look, kissing summer goodbye with scarlet lips and darker eyebrows. With women adding more layers of jackets and blazers inspired by menswear silhouettes, their make-up, hair and nails will follow suit. The overall fall look will be classic, tailored and a stellar combination of masculine-feminine chic. A great way to incorporate these trends on your wedding day is with hair and make-up. These beauty trends also update a traditional wedding gown with some edge and modern sophistication.

Make-up trends this fall will consist of a matte face brightened by a strong colored lip and thick, dark eyebrows. Popular colors will be scarlet reds that create a classic and bold look, as well as natural pink tones. Blue eye shadow in bright tones is predicted to be very trendy, and also a great way to incorporate that “something blue” into your bridal look. Thick black eye-liner is used along the lash line and in the eye crease for a more daring look.

White will be the most popular nail color to incorporate into the “gentlewoman” look, and is great for events such as the rehearsal dinner, the actual wedding day and honeymoon. This neutral color goes with mostly anything.

Popular haircuts this fall are short and boyish inspired. This short haircut goes great with non-traditional hairpieces replacing long veils, such as hair-clips, flowers and tiaras. For brides who do not wish to cut their long locks, simple, low ponytails and deep side-parts will be very popular. To make these hairstyles slightly more feminine, high-shine products can be used to make hair glow and glisten in the light.
