Enchanted Garden- Styled Shoot

We are sharing a little sneak preview of this enchanting styled shoot that will be published in an upcoming issue of Virginia Bride.

This styled shoot had the same challenge many outdoor weddings have–the threat of rain. Reschedule? Nah! The design team moved forward… Have you heard of a wedding being rescheduled for rain? With a pavilion, umbrellas, and rain boots; Tabatha of Main Street Weddings brought this styled shoot together in breathtaking rose quartz and serenity. These colors shine in this enchanting garden. Wollam Garden’s handcrafted pavilion offers shelter from falling showers , showing that a wedding can be ahh-mazing–even in the rain.

The head table was a mix of feminine and masculine, vintage and modern, with place settings fit for a rustic, stunning outdoor wedding. The centerpiece displayed flowers in various shades of pinks and blues with soft accents of buttery yellow. The depth of visual texture and movement was accomplished by adding many unique stems, such as the blue Eryngium (thistle) with the white O’Hara garden roses and delicate blue Volkenfried Delphinium. A bit of whimsy played nicely with the petite tubular blooms in the Italian heather and small pearl clusters of white rice flowers.

What is everyone’s favorite table at a wedding? The cake table! And what better way to spotlight the cake than to have it suspended and surrounded by lanterns! The cake, adorned with blueberries, raspberries, lemons, and gold, took everyone’s breath away and made all mouths water.

The beautiful crystal headpiece was inspired by soft baby’s breath; in place of tiny flowers are 500 small Swarovski crystals that have been meticulously hand-wrapped to perfection.

The soft creamy stationary against the rich gold floral pattern created an invitation dipped in elegance. The menus and place cards brought an added element of sophistication to the table that did not go unnoticed.

So, if it’s raining on the wedding day? Bring your smile because your pictures will turn out stunning! How will you get good photos if it’s raining? Leave that to your professional photographer. They know how to photograph the raindrops with lighting that will make your pictures stand out from the crowd. Rain also creates perfect reflections in puddles and on flat surfaces that turn an ordinary photo into extraordinary! Colors in the rain are more saturated and vibrant making gorgeous photos happen.

So relax, bring an umbrella along with your awesome sense of adventure and take advantage of the beauty rain offers. Enjoy this day because you are a beautiful bride–come rain or shine.
