Virginia wedding

Eeeeek! It’s the day of my wedding and I have a blemish….

So it’s the day of your wedding! You wake up refreshed and energized, ready to take on the world. You walk towards your mirror only to see a big red zit on your face… What do you do?!?!

There are always ways to try and prevent this before it happens. You want to make sure that you are washing and moisturizing your face daily. This clears out the dead skin cells and dirt/oils that reside in your pores. I also love an exfoliant! It makes your skin baby soft and you feel refreshed.

Even if you do these things blemishes can show up, especially if you are stressed. Take a deep breath! There are blemish creams out there with salicylic acid acne medication in it. This is your best friend! Find one of these creams (Walmart, Target, or CVS) and place a small dab of cream on your blemish. I normally let it sit for a few hours. It won’t take it away in a day BUT if I was getting married I would try anything.

I’ve heard rumors…cough cough…I’ve tried putting toothpaste on my face and it WORKS! You need a few days to make this remedy work though.

Before your wedding make sure you know what makeup you are using! There are many options out there and your makeup might be old which could cause breakouts. Also, clean your brushes! All your makeup in stored inside those bristles. I clean my brushes with regular dish soap but I let them soak in a 1:3 Vinegar to Water solution for 30 minutes.

Using a concealer before applying your foundation will also help cover the blemish. And remember – your photographer can touch up your prints so the blemish will not be in your wedding photos.

I hope this helps ladies BUT don’t worry, he won’t notice the blemish on your face…He will just be looking at YOU!
