“It takes a brave bride to wear a blue wedding dress”?  Or does it … White has been the color for brides since the 19th century when worn by Queen Victoria and has been the popular choice for Western brides since that time. Wearing white on your wedding day during the 19th and 20th centuries symbolized wealth. Yet, during the time of economic depression these brides begin to wear their “Sunday’s Best” which was the trend before the white bridal gown become popular. So both brides who choose to wear white and those who don’t both embody tradition and personal style. Be the best you on your wedding whether in in white or hot pink!
