Happy Monday ladies! I spent this last week talking to hair stylists in Virginia to bring to you the best way to make sure you have luscious locks on your big day! Let’s see what advice they had for you!

For shampoo, one that came highly recommended was Redken All Soft.

Redken All Soft

This is a good one for those of you with dry hair. It’s formulated to work with coarse strands and turn them, well, soft! For the record, I’ve used this shampoo (I’m cursed with extremely dry hair), and I love it. It smells awesome and I recently got very upset when I realized I was out of it. For those of you with oily hair, Meg Miller, stylist/bridal consultant at The Studio in Harrisonburg, recommended clarifying shampoo and dry shampoo instead.

For products, we got a wide variety of recommendations! One of which was the Big Sexy Root Pump.

According to Cassandra Mullenax, a stylist at Foilz in Harrisonburg, it helps give your hair body, which is something all of us need! (Psst…let’s give a shout out to Cassandra, who said she was getting married this summer!)

One of her other favorite products was the 450 Blow Out from the Style Sexy line.

“Put it on before you curl it,” Cassandra recommended. I have this product, too! I always spray some on before I use a straightener, curling iron or blow dryer. It smells really good and really does help keep everything smooth and protected from the heat!

For when you’re done styling on your big day, Cassandra said to finish your look off with Joico Blast.

“You definitely have to spray it away from your head,” Cassandra said. This extreme hold spray will hold everything in place for as long as your heart desires. Cassandra mentioned using it herself for a fun hairdo she was trying, and it stayed in place for 2 days. Name one other hairspray that can manage that!

Before the wedding, Meg from The Studio highly recommends a color glaze for every bride a week before the wedding.

“It’ll definitely shine it up and freshen it up,” Meg said. She also recommended in-salon treatments such as conditioning treatments leading up the wedding. Meg works with brides in her salon on a regular basis, so go see her for all your hair needs! The Studio has full spa packages available for brides.

Have any of you ladies ever tried these products? Let us know in the comments!
