I’ll be honest: I’ve been thinking about doing this theme since I first started doing these. And since Marvel recently released the new trailer for the upcoming sequel, I figure now is the perfect time to reveal my inner geek (as if I hadn’t done that already).

The problem with this theme is that it can go cheesy and lame very quickly. Luckily for you, I have enough ideas for you to keep it classy and amazing!

I like the idea of using blue (think Captain America) and burgundy as the two colors, with black accents, which will help keep things a little more formal when used correctly!

To start, one of my personal favorites:

I got this from The Wedding Scoop! I think this is so adorable, although I’d advise against the masks. But the T-shirts are funny and quirky and will let personalities shine through in your photos! Although I’d add Thor and Hawkeye and get rid of the other non-Avenger superheroes. Make sure to let the guys have fun! And if they need another idea…

Please do this. Appease me.

Another fun thing to do with this theme is a photo booth! I love photo booths so much, and an Avengers theme lends itself so well to props for it. Here’s some props for you:

You can order these from Etsy. Think of the fun your guests will have with these! I can see some people I know bashing each other Thor’s hammer and Hulk-smashing everyone and anything for the pictures. Why not let your guests have that same opportunity?

I also have some cute food options!

These are so cute! I love how the cake isn’t obvious about it, but still has someone poking out at the bottom to incorporate the theme. Although personally, I’d put Iron Man down there (my favorite Avenger!). I also like this cake. It has a formal theme to it, which is great, because I love the idea of keeping things formal for this theme. Put black fabric on your chairs and as tablecloths and use gold-rimmed china to bring this all together!

As for a venue, I LOVE the idea of using the Jefferson Hotel in Richmond!

This place is great for a formal theme! It’ll do a great job of incorporating all of these elements together in a classy way so things don’t seem cheesy. And since the main part of The Avengers is set in NYC, it makes sense to have your Virginia wedding in our capital!

I can’t wait to do the bridal party for this! Let’s do a poll: who’s your favorite Avenger? The winner will be the one we concentrate on for next week’s bridesmaid look! Leave a comment below to give your answer. I’ll be back next week ladies!
