This week we visit Tokyo for Asian Honeymoon ideas- part four of five for luxury honeymoon ideas in Asia.

Palace Hotel Tokyo

By Bart Conley

You won’t actually be honeymooning inside the moat that surrounds the Imperial Palace Tokyo, but there’s no reason you can’t lie to each other as you sit moat side on the Grand Kitchen at the Palace Hotel Tokyo.

How cool is this hotel? There’s nary a major awards list that hasn’t paid high homage since the hotel debuted in 2012 after a $1.2 billion development. Its design is understatedly cool (think  Zen), and its situation in Tokyo is all but peerless. There’s an Evian spa on property, the first in all Japan. There’s a plethora of culinary options from Japanese and Chinese to French, each of which has been launched by a chef who has already bagged a few stars from Michelin.

And beyond the posh rooms, and the balconies, there are the glories of modern Japan at your threshold — from the Marunouchi Naka Dori, one of the city’s premier shopping thoroughfares, to the 3.5-square-kilometer Imperial Palace Gardens.
