This styled shoot, the vision of Heather Kidd Photography, mixed a trending new color, ultraviolet, with popular textures, and luxurious details like the gold chargers and ghost chairs, make this setting fit for a princess.
Here’s what Heather had to say about this shoot:
“I am a huge lover of purple and when I saw that the new trend and the pantone color of the year was ultraviolet, I knew I had to do a styled shoot.
I also love that suede and velvet are coming back in and those textures just look amazing for depth in wedding details.
When I started brainstorming, I knew I had to get the amazing staff at Entwined Events involved.
Once I pitched them the idea, they took over the planning and piecing together everything.
They did everything from the flowers to the food and desserts, to the décor, at their venue (The Bedford Columns in Bedford, VA).
We went with a somewhat French afternoon tea feel with a scone bar complete with clotted cream and an assortment of jams and jelly, a huge colorful charcuterie board table for an appetizer/cocktail hour idea, an ombre purple cake, gorgeous table set up with a farm table and clear chic chairs (loved this combo).
We used gold aspects throughout, a suede table runner, gorgeous flowers with the pops of purple, and a fun simple ceremony arch. All of the details came together so well and colorful (which I love!).
The dresses I wanted to be more ball gown, so we used two different ones from Celebration bridal (one which is their own exclusive design (the off the shoulder one), I had a soft swept over lose hairstyle done and romantic makeup with a pop of that purple on the eyes.
I also found some great purple velvet flats at Target last minute for the model to wear.”
