Brittany and Mike said, “I do” at the Williamsburg Winery surrounded by love, family and the prettiest details. Every one of these photos pulls at my heart strings (and we all know I, Tilley, look at TONS of weddings as your VA #WeddingWednesday connoisseur so that means something) and I know it will pull at yours as well.
The bride’s sweetheart neckline dress was perfectly completed by these amazing baubles from BHLDN. Gotta love her choice of glitter pumps! So glamorous!
What a glowing bride she was…I think I have eyelash envy!
The groom continued the grey trend that many men have been wearing this year but complemented it with a handsome blush tie. I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again…only real men can rock pink 😉
Brittany snapped a few more pics in the garden of Wedmore Place (right next to the Williamsburg Winery) before their first look and I am so glad she did. She looks like an angel…and look at the bouquet! It is perfect for almost any season because it has lamb ears that give it a wintery feel but also fern leaves make it feel summery. This could be a little risky but her florist pulled it off.
Now, if you read below for Brittany’s comments you will see that even a year after the wedding, she still gets butterflies from remembering the first look. I get goose bumps just from looking at the pics so I can hardly imagine what she must have been feeling that day!
The bridal party dazzled in blush, donning knee length dresses to stand by Brittany’s side.
For the ceremony, they went for a classic look and I am in love with the hydrangeas on the alter!
After the outdoor ceremony all the guests moved indoors for the reception and the happy couple snuck away for a few more sweet moments alone…
Gotta have a wine barrel picture if you get married at a winery! Congrats to the beautiful couple!
From the Bride:
Favorite detail from the day? “Definitely our first look. It was in a small courtyard at the Wedmore Place – it was just such an intimate and special moment between just my husband and I…a chance to really focus our attentions on only each other and forget about all the planning details! One year after our wedding, I still get butterflies thinking about our first look!”
Advice for a bride to be? “The best piece of advice I can give to other brides is this – remember to soak in the moment as much as possible. Don’t get so wrapped up in the details of the wedding that you forget the most important part of your big day – your significant other! Be intentional about focusing on one another, about the journey you’re about to embark on, and the new chapter of your lives together. It’s one of the few moments you have the opportunity to have so many loved ones in one place also. Don’t take it for granted and really soak it all in!”
