Real Wedding Wednesday: Brad and Blair

Hey y’all! Tilley here, bringing you this weeks real Virginia Wedding. Let me go ahead and apologize because this wedding has me ridiculously excited and my commentary may get out of control ;)…

Brad and Blair got married in October and would you believe they were high school sweethearts?! Adorbs. No detail from this wedding was unaccounted for…I mean look at her shoes!!! We all know heels are temporary but glitter tennis shoes too?! I can’t even…

Blair was the ultimate bohemian beauty bride. I love, love, LOVE her turquoise head piece. It is so creative and fresh! Her bridesmaids also looked glamorous in their flower crowns. portraits-160-X3_opt

Before getting ready, the girls spent time together and took the sweetest pics on this luscious antique couch. What a cool idea!

Blair’s gown was a perfect fit for her style with the touches of lace and beaded flowers. portraits-189-X2_opt

Her bouquet was so colorful and was wrapped in ribbons and a custom woven tassel. I have never seen anything like it…so refreshing and inspiring!portraits-345-X3_opt (1)

Her maid’s dresses were from Free People and can I just say WOW! Honestly, I could have never envisioned these dresses being so whimsical and beautiful. It may have been a risky move but it paid off. Heart eye emojis for days!

The guys look great in their matching tuxes but I think it was their personalities that made their looks so unforgettable! portraits-809-X3_opt

I mean…how adorable is this grooms smile?! It screams, “I am pumped to get married to my girl today!”

Moment of silence for this sweet picture…because OMG. Can’t you feel the love!? Interesting tidbit…Brad is 6’4″ and Blair is 4’10”! As she said, “opposites attract.” SO CUTE!

The ceremony took place inside a church and the reception was at the Portsmouth Women’s Club. Of course, the reception was glamours and bohemian as well! Blankets for guests…agate place markers…GOLD SILVERWARE! portraits-305-X3_optportraits-231-X2_optportraits-276-X2_optportraits-308-X2_opt

And, you’ve gotta love the custom tandem bike cake topper! These two really outdid themselves and I am so glad they did! I will be drooling over these pictures for the rest of the year! portraits-687-X2_optOnce the night was over, they left in a shower of colorful ribbons and went off to their happily ever after.

From the Bride:

Favorite detail from the day? “Gah! Hard choice! Its a tie between our custom backdrop and our agate name slices ordered off etsy. I am a sucker for details and these details just fit perfectly into our dreamy bohemian inspired wedding!”

Advice for a bride to be? “Hire a planner or coordinator that gets you and your style if you are going to have a large wedding. Going in, I thought, no big deal! I can handle this and DIY everything and save money. Nope. It was such a relief when we finally hired our planner who set up our day exactly how we wanted it and toke care of everything behind the scenes so that we could enjoy every single moment of our big day. Worth every single penny!”
