For your wedding, I’m sure you’ve established a dress code to go with your theme and venue. Having an outdoor buffet? You’re probably going more casual. Ballroom with a full wait staff? You’re asking your guests to dress more formally.

Sometimes it’s difficult for guests to decipher exactly how to dress for a wedding. For this reason, Paul Fredrick came up with this infographic for how men should dress according to the dress code. We love how helpful this is!

But what about the women? Formal events usually call for a floor-length gown, any color except for white! For the guys, this infographic encourages to pay attention to the details, and this is especially true for the ladies! Accessorize to your heart’s content! Just make sure to not overdo it — if you choose a big statement necklace, let it speak for itself instead of dragging attention away with big earrings.

If the invite is calling for semi-formal, men will be sporting jackets and light suits in the summer. This is the time you ladies can break out your signature LBD! See, they really do go with everything. Cocktail dresses or dressy separates will also fit this code.

If you’re reading “casual” on the invitation, guys can ditch the jacket and go for a plaid shirt if they choose, according to the Paul Fredrick infographic. Check out some of their shirts for ideas for your man! Casual for you ladies doesn’t mean you can break out your Daisy Duke shorts! Show off your sweet side in your favorite sundress with sandals or wedges.
